Two of Australia’s leading names in association and conference management, set to become one

Conference Action and the Australian Professional Centre (APC) are set to amalgamate their long-established brands and from 1 July 2012 will become known as The Association Specialists.

As leading providers of PCO and AMC services in Australia, they will combine to become the first service provider, specifically for associations and member-based organisations, which has multiple core functions.  This will provide the association sector with a specialist PCO and a specialist Association Management Company in one.

Managing Director and owner of both Conference Action and the APC, Mr Francis Child said “The combination of these two well known brands under one name better represents who we are and clearly defines our niche.  We have been operating for many years in this space. The Association Specialist brand identifies us as being just that, association specialists.”

The amalgamation allows the company to better capitalise on combined strengths and shared networks and knowledge.  The high standards that Conference Action and the APC are known for will be maintained, including a strong standpoint on ethics and transparency in all business dealings.

 

The New Brand

The Association Specialists brand includes a new logo with a tag line which sums up the company’s mission of taking care of and adding value to our clients.  The logo incorporates a symbol in three parts, each representing the three core function areas of the company: Association Management, Event Management and Consultancy Services.  A new website will go live on 1 July 2012 with the address www.theassociationspecialists.com.au.

 

History

Conference Action and the APC have each been operating for three decades and have built strong reputations in the marketplace as providers of first class PCO and AMC services.  They have been under the ownership and management of Francis Child since 2000 and 2005 respectively and have experienced significant growth since then.  Conference Action manages over 20 conferences annually and the APC has over 20 Australian/NZ associations under management.  The companies combined manage over 10,000 member records and annual client turnover in excess of $12m.
